Kurzbeschreibung:
Rezeptor-Tyrosinkinasen steuern sowohl die Zellproliferation als auch die vielfach mit einem Zellzyklusarrest verbundene Differenzierung von Zellen. Es hat sich gezeigt, dass die Rezeptor-Tyrosinkinasen sich bei der Zellzyklusregulation der gleichen Signaltransduktionskaskaden bedienen und dass die Intensität und Länge der Signale über das Schicksal der Zellen entscheiden.
