Abstract:
To get insights in chemokine-driven processes in the inflammation of the gastritic mucosa and the development of gastric tumors during H. pylori infection the expression-pattern and the microanatomical localisation of chemokines and their receptors in H. pylori gastritis, H. pylori associated carcinomas and MALT-type lymphomas of the stomach are investigated. The role of different pathogenic H. pylori strains on the chemokine- and chemokine-receptor expression are studied in vitro. To evaluate the role of chemokines in the pathogenesis of gastric carcinomas, the influence of H. pylori on the chemokine- and chemokinereceptor expression will be investigated.
