Research foci (and basic equipment-based research projects):
Changes of vigilance due to antivertiginous drugs.
Many antivertiginous drugs (especially anti-histaminics) impair the vigilance.
The action of different substances is investigated by: a) Reaction time b) acoustic late evoked potentials (P 300) c) Changes in the spontaneous EEG (anteriorisation, changes in power and spectra etc.) .

Results:
The lowest influence on the vigilance is given by Betahistine. The combination of Dimenhydrinate and Cinnarizine has a lower influence on the vigilance than the mono-substance Dimenhydrinate.
