Abstract:
To evaluate modern tools in stroke therapy.

Results:
Contrast-enhanced duplex sonography allows for intracranial monitoring of recanalization during fibrinolysis. Perfusion CT may be beneficial to define an optimal timepoint for decompression surgery of brain infarcts. The incidence of prothrombotic point mutations is low in juvenile stroke.
