Abstract:
In immune mediated acute inflammatory neuropathies the T-cell-infiltration is an important first step. After transmigration of T-cells into the nerve parenchyma the inflammatory response must be terminated. T-cell apoptosis is a central mechanism to eliminate T-cells. The project deals with the mechanisms and regulatory signals of T-cell apoptosis. The grant provides the principal investigator with support to carry out this project.
