Abstract:
Aim of this project is the development of novel biochemical markers and functional paramaters for the human vascular endothelium. In particular, the analysis of VASP (vasodialtor-stimulated phosphoprotein) phosphorylation as indicator of the functional integrity of the endothelium is investigated. Three main question are addressed :
? The analysis of VASP phosphorylation as marker for endothelial functions in various animal model.
? The analysis of P-VASP as marker of endothelial functions in human vessel wall samples
? Developmemt of a P-VASP assay suitable for whole blood
