Abstract:
Metabolically stable, sequence-specific oligonucleotedes carrying the covalently bound catalytical center of natural ribonucleases are being developed for the specific cleavage of pathogenic (bacterial, viral) RNAs and oncogenic mRNAs, respectively, as an alternative to gene therapy.
