Abstract:
The control of dynamical systems through observers and state estimation is
a central goal of control engineering. The present success of the theory is mainly limited to
linear systems or systems with simple nonlinearities. Complex heterogeneous systems
like mobile robots, satellite swarms or biological systems pose new challenges
to the theory. We will investigate observer and state estimation of systems with bounds on
communication or entropy rates, or state space constraints.
