Abstract:
Java Online Practice provides an interactive platform for learning object oriented programming with Java. JOP consists out of two parts:
The tutorial teaches object oriented programming with Java, in a highly interactive manner. The students solve exercises including the traditional multiple choice tests, and also the construction of complete Java programs. The functionality as well as the appearance of the uploaded Java programs are analyzed by newly developped methods of automatic program analysis (electronic tutors). So students receive an immediate feedback about their success. Furthermore, all programming examples may be executed and altered. In the following practical training the students have to develop larger programs. Again, electronic tutors check for correctness. The final judgement, however, is done by staff members.
