Im Vorhaben wurden die Biotransformation und Toxikokinetik der möglichen Kraftstoffadditive Methyl-tert-butylether, Ethyl-tert-butylether und tert-Amylmethylether in Ratten und in Menschen verglichen, um mögliche Unterschiede im Ausmaß der Biotransformation zwischen den Spezies und nach unterschiedlichen Aufnahmewegen zu bestimmen. Die erhaltenen Daten gehen in die Risikobewertung des Einsatzes dieser Stoffe in Kraftstoffen ein.
