Abstract:
Genetic polymorphisms of estrogen receptors shall be investigated in controls, patients with mild cognitive impairment and patients suffering form Alzheimer dementia. In addition, levels of plasma estradiol and testosteron shall be analyzed in the above mentioned cohorts to trace putative changes in steroid hormone regulation in the elderly.
