Abstract:
The doctor’s letter (discharge report) is the most important and oftentimes also the only mode of communication betweens doctors treating the same patient. For legal accident insurance, a uniform discharge report after the inpatient medical rehabilitation furthermore serves two vital functions: it serves to steer the individual healing procedure and lays the necessary foundation for a peer review procedure.
Within the frame of the project “Testing of uniform discharge reports in the co-operative vocational, inpatient further treatment (BGSW) of accident insurance”, a uniform BGSW-report was conceptualised and introduced to 11 clinics on approval. The experiences with creating and employing the report in clinical provisional practice and the implementation possibilities for steering healing procedures in co-operative vocational management were investigated concerning their acceptance and feasibility.
