Abstract: The aim of this project is to elucidate the function of individual NFATc1 proteins in defined populations of peripheral lymphocytes. We intend to create ?NFATc1 reporter mice? for the analysis of NFATc1 expression in tissues and single cells. By `knocking in` RFP cDNAs in the
endogenous locus, either as a RFP indicator alone or as chimeric RFP/NFATc1 proteins.
Together with established reporter mice they will allow optical `real-time analyses` of
Nfatc1
activity during T cell activation, differentiation and apoptosis in vivo.Key words:
