NF-AT Transcription Factors as Regulators of Apotosis and Cancerogenesis of peripheral T Cells
Project management at the University of Würzburg:
NF-AT Transcription Factors control the apoptosis and - possibly - also the cancerogenesis of lymphocytes. By (1.) ectopic expression of individual NF-AT proteins after retroviral infection of T cells, (2.) the creation of conditional NF-ATc1 k.o. mice and, finally, (3.) the analysis of NF-AT expression in human lymphomas we want to study the molecular mechanisms involved in the control of apoptosis (and cancerogenesis) of lymphocytes.
