Research foci (and basic equipment-based research projects):
This project deals with the investigations of doped glass systems by means of infrared absorption and Raman spectroscopy. The local structure of the glasses has been determined, demonstrating the great capability of these techniques in structural analysis of amorphous and partially crystallized materials.
