Abstract:
The aim of the project is the synthesis of multi-dimensional chromophores, which are formally built up from one-dimensional analogues. We found compounds whose nonlinear optical properties are enhanced compared to their one-dimensional analogues while the linear optical properties are additive. We are currently interested in the intramolecular energy and electron transfer processes in multi-dimensional molecules
