Abstract:
The aim of the project is the synthesis of linear or branched pi-electron systems that have two or more triarylamine redox centres. The energies of the redox centres are tuned so as to allow a directed electron or energy transfer, respectively. Using linear model compounds we could show that the energy of the bridge connecting two redox centres is decisive for the electron transfer.
